strange week

Sunday, June 17th, 2007

Hey all.

I’ve found this week really strange,…

Been an incrediable busy week, but yet found so much time nights/weekend where been really bored, need something else to do with my time, might not feel so lonley if had something else to do.

Went to a wedding reception this weekend, it brought some strange feelings into touch, i mean it wasent that long ago i was engaged(well half a year ago i guess), and it just made me think a few things. any not going to get depressed…

works been going well, nice and busy, and few more weeks of been busy coming up hopefully, then considering on going away, need some clean air lol…

still need to work on the lighting rig, finish the work i started on it about 1 month ago…… should hopefully should sort that soon.

got my new phone :) YEY…

Clever idea i had

Sunday, June 3rd, 2007

a back dated blog…

when arranging lighting for an event last month, when the trussing couldn’t be hired in due to it been summer and it all been hired out, i came up with a cunning plan for some stands for my moving heads,

at nearly 7foot, these stands with my own bare hands saved the day and will have many hours of use….

take a look(click picture to enlarge), they are now black thought

FREAK 2007

Sunday, June 3rd, 2007

Freak 2007 involved lots of lights, lots of planning, and then lots of trial an error.

Whenever mixing systems it can be quite difficult to get the best out the equipment, and give the best result,

After a slight re-jig at the break, we managed to get it running a lot smoother, and we managed to complete the second half of the event with more ease..

not forgetting a slight mis-hap with a fuse blowing in one of the plugs.. due to slight to much load, due to lack of power circuits in the room.. after all recovered it was a good night, and hope to be at there next event in arround the september time..

take a look at a few pictures that where taking during the event..

Revo Last Night

Tuesday, April 3rd, 2007

Well thought i would do a post on last night.

We where out doing lighting at one of our regular events and a few intresting things happend.

well the start been when we where unloading it was a little bit windy, we load in the venue via the firedoor, the problem was there was a gust of wind that blew in the building that lifted a number of the venue’s rought tiles, so there was a mad panic for 30 mins witha long pole to push all the roof tiles back in place…

back to the setup (no more using the fire door to get in)

We decided upon a slightly differnt setup, with the moving heads ontop of flight cases along the side of back drop, this allowed a bit more freedom to the previous setup in that venue with our moving heads, also allowed us to put some interesting patterns along the back drop hehe..

The only other thing to report on for now is that our old lighting desk is now up for sale on ebay, if you need lighting desk (24 channels) then try here :

laters..
